Scipio does an excellent job of summing-up Islam.

Unfortunately, I dunno how the civilized world can ignore (as best it can) the mess called Islam. I fear that, sooner or later, the West will need to offensively engage to force Islam to shatter itself to pieces and disappear from the face of the earth.
Afghanistan and Iraq could have been the first two salvos in this Clash of Civilizations between the West and Islam, with Iran being potentially the next step. Unfortunately, with the current administration in power, we're gonna be in full retreat for a while.
